ESNotes - January 2009

Happy New Year!!! As 2009 starts with a fragile world economy it is even more important for you to select products of value - quality products at a fair price - from a company capable of providing invaluable technical resources. ES Industries is such a company!

We not only continue to develop new products for the most demanding applications but we are always looking for ways to make your life a little easier.  To this end, for our overseas customers we have added a dynamic translation tool to our web page - permitting you to perform "on the fly" translation of our Web Site and past ESNotes to your native language with the click of a button...

From all of us at ES Industries we would like to wish you a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous 2009. We look forward to providing you with more innovative applications, products and services during 2009.

In this months ESNotes we will introduce application notes on:
New Epic Epic PFP-LB and Epic FO-LB Columns for difficult separations, New Epic HILIC-RP HPLC Columns for rugged methods and New Sub 2 micron HPLC Columns for SFC.

New Fluorinated Columns - Epic PFP-LB and Epic FO-LB

We are pleased to offer a new line of fluorinated HPLC columns - Epic PFP-LB and Epic FO-LB. Fluorinated phases are able to perform many unique and difficult separations which could not be performed on the best available C18 columns. These columns have been stabilized to provide low column bleed, increased lifetimes, better pH stability (pH range 1 - 10) and superior LC-MS performance.

The Epic PFP-LB is a pentafluorophenyl that has been baseline stabilized and is ready for high performance separations for a number of applications including the separation of natural products, halogenated compounds, aromatics, conjugated compounds and trace impurities in complex matrices.

To compliment the new Epic PFP-LB we are pleased to introduce a baseline stabilized alkyl perfluorinated C8 - Epic FO-LB. With its low bleed characteristics Epic FO-LB is well suited to the separation of trace impurities especially for halogenated analytes, lipophilic compounds and environmental samples. More ....

HILIC Engineered Columns - New Epic HILIC-RP

Epic HILIC-RP is a new stationary phase for a combination of HILIC and reversed phase chromatography and is an excellent choice for samples containing polar and hydrophobic analytes. Epic HILIC-RP is useful for retention and separation of polar and non-polar compounds..

Epic HILIC-RP is specifically designed for HILIC chromatography and can achieve high performance separations, yield rugged methods and deliver long column life times.  More ....

New Sub 2 micron HPLC Columns - SFC Phases

A new line of 1.8µm columns for use in Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) is now available. These columns have been engineered specifically for SFC chromatography. ES Industries expertise in the silica surface modification and bonded stationary phase technology has enabled us to develop a number of stationary phases based on the 1.8µm particle technology. With this breakthrough  you the chromatographer are no longer limited to silica for SFC. You may now select from the following stationary phases, available for SFC sub 2 micron columns for your separations:

Chromegabond Ethyl Pyridine SFC

Chromegabond Amino Phenyl SFC

FluoroSep-RP Phenyl SFC
