ES Notes February 2010

Pittcon 2010 is just around the corner - will you be attending? Let us know and and make an appointment or feel free to stop by and visit with us to talk chromatography applications.

In this pre-Pittcon issue of ESNotes as we approach the 2010 Pittsburgh Conference we would like to share with you some of the new products we will be featuring at Pittcon including a new product line of a-chiral SFC phases - GreenSep™  featuring the latest advances in SFC separation selectivity and capacity.

Other new products include our continually expanding line of Chiral Stationary Phases and a new line of non ODS based sub-2 micron phases for HPLC

ES Industries will also have two posters numbered:

#2795-3P "Exploring the Separation Capabilities for New Halogen Containing Carbohydrate Based Chiral Stationary Phases"

and # 2795-4P "The Development and Application of Non ODS Based HPLC Columns Packed with Sub 2 Micron Packing Materials."

Take a moment to view these technically informative and practical posters, if you are not attending Pittcon we will have these posters available at http://www.esind.com soon.

In this edition we are including information on Chromegabond Ethyl Pyridine SFC Columns are becoming the industry standard and the SFC columns of choice delivering superior performance, retention and rapid separation of chemical compounds containing strong amine groups. Epic C18 MS 1.8 micron Columns specifically designed for superior retention at high organic levels and is compatible with all LC-MS mobile phases and buffer systems and Sunrise C18 and C8 columns a family of phases equivalent to the Waters SunFire™ columns.

All designed to be technically informative and practically useful.

Many SFC separations have been forced to utilize older poorly adapted types of stationary phases from “normal phase” HPLC such as unmodified silica, diol, amino and cyano. Limitations include: low capacity, poor selectivity, and poor peak shape for SFC separations.

The new line of stationary phases specifically engineered for SFC separations corrects these  problems, one of these phases is Chromegabond Ethyl Pyridine. This stationary phase has proven superior to conventional stationary phases (such as diol, cyano etc...) in the areas of separation selectivity, peak shape and loading capacity. The Chromegabond Ethyl Pyridine material does not require the addition of amino peak shape modifiers, making mobile phase composition and fraction collection greatly simplified without the use of amino additives. Chromegabond Ethyl Pyridine is the SFC column of choice delivering superior performance for the retention and rapid separation of chemical compounds containing strong amine groups. More...

Epic C18 MS 1.8 um is specifically engineered for the demands of LC-MS. It provides superior retention even at high organic levels. Many LC-MS applications rely on high level of organic modifier in the mobile phase, particularly in the for high performance trace analysis requiring high sensitivity and low level detection; Epic C18-MS 1.8 um is ideally suited for these mobile phase conditions. These columns provide advanced high performance/high resolution LC-MS separations in narrow bore short column formats. More...

The Sunrise™ line is an identical selectivity to the Waters SunFire™ C18 and C8 materials. Sunrise™ has a long column lifetime and excellent reproducibility. Sunrise™ columns provide symmetrical peaks for improved resolution and quantization of acidic neutral and basic compounds a low and intermediate pH range. Sunrise™ is available in many particle sizes as well as preparative bulk. More...
